Three sets: a twelve-deuce game in the first, a break and set point earned to even the score in the second, and a comeback from two match points down to take it all in a tiebreaker after two hours and 43 minutes. Sound exciting? Well, it was. 
三個盤點：第一盤總共形成12個deuce,而第二盤破發&盤點使Andy贏得追平盤,最後救回兩個賽末點後進入tiebreak全部比賽共花了兩小時又43分鐘。聽起來刺激嗎? 


“It’s been a bit since I toughed one of those out so in the end I hope it will be up being a good thing,” Andy commented after his second round win over Argentina’s Eduardo Schwank.

After a slight rain delay at 6:30 pm, the two competitors stepped on Center Court at the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center, but only one victor stepped off, Andy, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(2). 
因下了場一陣小雨而延賽至6:30pm,兩個選手在William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center的中央球場出賽,可惜的是最後只會有一個勝利者,Andy, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(2)。 


The first set was unlike any other seen here this year, and from the first long-rallied, baseline-to-baseline point off Andy’s racquet, everyone at the Legg Mason Classic knew it was going to be a fight to the finish. Schwank targeted Andy’s backhand like many others have, but he also tested Andy’s sprinting abilities to chase down drop shots. Targeting Andy’s backhand on break point at 2-2 earned Schwank the first lead in the match as Andy sent one into the net. At 3-2 with Schwank serving, Andy powerhoused his way to deuce, and two second-rounders stayed there for a fifteen minute, twelve-deuce game which ended when the Argentine sealed the deal with a drop shot. 
第一盤並不像今年所看到的任何一盤比賽如此容易,它是以持續的底線連續對打作為開端,每一個在Legg Mason Classic現場的人都知道他們是fight到最後一刻。Schwank不但像其他選手一樣攻擊Andy的反手拍,且打出測試Andy急速衝刺速度的網前急墜球。在2-2時攻擊Andy的反拍使Schwank得到第一個破發點但Andy也隨即回敬了一個觸網球,在3-2時Schwank發球,Andy以他的爆發力使這局形成了deuce,此後在接下來的15分鐘內不斷的在兩人間輪替,最後12個deuce在Argentine打出了網前急墜球而結束。 


At 5-3, Andy’s serve was a little loose and Schwank earned triple break points as Andy double faulted three times. Our American firepower pulled out the big guns to come all of the way back and hold with an ace. After 68 minutes, Schwank took the set on his racquet, 6-4. 
在5-3時,Andy的發球有一點小失誤& Schwank緊接著趁著Andy雙誤後替自己贏得了三個破發點。而我們的(他們的??)美國火力(強力??)男,拔出了他的大槍而且使出渾身解數把所有來球都擊回去而且外帶一個ace。在68分鐘後Schwank用他的球拍得到了自己的發球局,6-4。 


“He did a really good job of spreading the ball(??) on me,” Andy noted. The second set continued with the same high-quality tennis the crowd came to see- cross-court rallies, volley wars, and mind-boggling passing shots. Andy earned double break points at 2-1 but the Argentine was able to hold our American off until the very last point in the set. Andy earned and converted a break point to even the score at one set a piece.

“It was a very physical match, possibly the longest three setter I’ve played,” added the world number nine. Then the deciding factor, the deciding set commenced and Andy clinched the lead by breaking Schwank at 2-1 and held to widen the margin at 4-1. At 4-2, the tables turned and Schwank found himself with double break points, and he capitalized with a drop shot.

After holding serve with play now coming off Andy’s Pure Drive, Schwank spread a shot wide yet again and an unforced error gave Andy’s opponent another break. Schwank was serving for the match, up two match points, and then nerves set in with an unforced error and double fault to bring around another deuce. Now holding the advantage, Andy defended a passing shot by dropping the ball right over the net to break back and bring the crowd to its feet. HOlding to 6-6 meant that a tiebreak was up next. 
在保住自己發球局之後,已經成功的脫離Andy的完全掌握的第三盤(比賽)。Schwank開始不斷的延長擊球&Andy發生一個非受迫失誤使對手得到另位的一個破發點。Schwank在他的發球局製造了三個賽末點,在這緊張的這一盤不斷的發生雙誤和非受迫失誤使得不斷的產生deuce。在這個時刻以更加心理素質掌握局勢的人便能勝出,Andy擊回了一個網前急墜球且球正巧越過網子上,不但破發了且打亂他的陣腳^＊。(很經典,但不知對不對??) 


Heavy legs and a discouraged psyche got the best of the Argentine when a long return gave Andy the mini break to lead 2-1. A slammed a running forehand down the line earned Andy the second break to go up 5-1. Serving for the match at 6-2, Andy did was he does best and let the rocket soar. Schwank just barely got his racquet on it, and the victor threw his hands up as he just earned the toughest quarterfinal golden ticket of the year. 
大腳 &沮喪的心情使Argentine變得更好,一段很長的氣勢轉回向Andy以小破發領先時2-1。一記猛然的正手壓在線上替Andy贏得了第二個破發點5-1。接著以發球迎接賽末點6-2,Andy可以做得非常好甚至使火箭飛行(這三小??)。Schwank只能勉強的拿著他的球拍站在場上,而這個勝利者threw his hands up當他贏得這場今年最艱難的quarterfinal golden ticket。
